Purpose of Position:
The purpose of this position is to provide oversight of the entire agency financial and budgetary operations which includes oversight of collections, distributions, reporting and over $500 million in various revenues and funds for the agency.

This position is a Pay Band 90.

Classification DescriptionChief Financial Officer III

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Auditing and eight (8) years of experience in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance or Auditing; to include three (3) years of experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials; to include four (4) years of federal grant and/or  special revenue experience; and to include four (4) years of managerial or supervisory experience. Preference will be given to applicants who possess and maintain an active New Mexico license as a Certified Public Accountant.
Employment Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions:
Work is usually performed in an office setting, with extensive exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), personal computer, printer, calculator, copy machine, scanner, and telephone usage. Some travel may be required. Extended periods of sitting and some lifting may be required.
